Futurama producers announce new specials following Season 14 finale

The animated series Futurama has concluded its 14th season on Hulu, marking what executive producer David X. Cohen describes as the sixth time the show has written a finale intended to serve as a series conclusion. The season finale is titled “Final Ending: The Last Conclusion.”

Despite the end of the regular season, the production team, including creator Matt Groening, plans to continue the franchise. Three extra-long specials are currently in production. The first of these is a Christmas special scheduled for release in 2027, which is expected to feature the character Robot Santa. The remaining two specials are intended to address long-standing plot questions.
