Futurama concludes regular seasons with Season 14 finale

Futurama Matt Groening Hulu animated series series finale

The animated science-fiction series ‘Futurama’ has concluded its current run of regular seasons on Hulu following the airing of its Season 14 finale, titled ‘Final Ending: The Last Conclusion’. While Hulu reportedly has no plans to order a fifteenth season, the franchise is not entirely ending.

Creator Matt Groening expressed optimism regarding the show’s future, stating, ‘We will rise again.’ He noted the series has a history of being cancelled and revived multiple times since its 1999 debut on Fox.

To continue the franchise, three extended ‘XXXL-Sized’ specials are currently in production for Hulu. The first of these is a Christmas-themed installment featuring the character Robot Santa, which is expected to arrive in 2027. These specials are intended to revisit character arcs and address unanswered questions from the series.
