Future, AI CROSS and AMD Unveil Major AI Initiatives in 2026

Future announced on 25 June 2026 the creation of the Future AI Science Laboratories, a research centre aimed at deepening AI foundational work and accelerating societal implementation. The lab will focus on next‑generation AI research, joint projects with domestic and overseas institutions, and rapid transfer of advances into business and social challenges. Director Morishita said, “Solving complex real‑world problems requires a dedicated hub that not only applies existing technology but also explores the frontier itself.”

AI CROSS Corp. began offering the MCP server for its RCS/SMS platform “Absolute Reach! RCS” on 24 June 2026. The service lets AI agents control all aspects of Rich Communication Services—sending, managing and analysing messages—through simple text commands, removing the need for programming expertise. The rollout supports major AI agents such as Claude and GitHub Copilot and is positioned as part of the company’s “Smart Work, Smart Life” strategy.

At Interop Tokyo 2026, AMD showcased its rack‑scale AI platform Helios, which integrates CPUs, GPUs, high‑speed NICs and software into a single rack capable of up to 2.9 AI Exaflops (FP4 precision). Built on open standards such as the Open Compute Project’s wide rack, Helios won the Best‑of‑Show award, and AMD also highlighted its Ryzen AI Embedded P100 series for edge AI workloads. The company emphasizes that Helios provides a “second‑choice” AI infrastructure, challenging the long‑standing dominance of a single vendor.
