Futuro Nazionale attracts councilors in Arezzo and Latina
In Arezzo, councilor Aldo Poponcini announced his move from the Scelgo Arezzo list to the right‑wing party Futuro Nazionale. In a press conference he described himself as a sovereignist, anti‑immigration, and security‑focused politician and said he would work to repurpose neglected municipal buildings for public use and strengthen local police resources.
In Latina, councilor Alessandro Fanti left the Lega group to join Futuro Nazionale, prompting a heated debate during the municipal council session. The council president and members of the majority and opposition asked for clarification on Fanti’s status, noting that the rules on forming a mixed group are unclear. The issue was raised by representatives of the Lega, Forza Italia and other parties, while the administration indicated that Futuro Nazionale will continue to support the centre‑right majority but retain independent judgment.
