Futuro Nazionale holds security demonstration in Bari
The political party Futuro Nazionale organized a demonstration in Piazza Umberto I in Bari to address issues of public security, immigration, and urban decay. Rossano Sasso, a regional representative for the party, stated that the choice of Bari was symbolic, noting that Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni recently used the city to celebrate the longevity of her government.
Sasso criticized the current administration, arguing that security and identity must return to the center of the political agenda. He highlighted the ongoing issues of crime and violence in the square, calling for a government that more effectively guarantees safety for Italian citizens.
In the context of local politics, Meloni’s recent presence in Bari has sparked speculation regarding the center-right's future strategy in the city. While the area has been a stronghold for the center-left for two decades, various names are being discussed within the center-right coalition for future mayoral candidacies, including Fabio Romito, Gaetano Frulli, and Gigi Decollanz.
