Fuvest conducts second simulated exam for 2027 vestibular with over 12,000 students
On Sunday, 26 July 2026, the Fundação Universitária de Vestibular da Universidade de São Paulo (Fuvest) held its second simulated exam for the 2027 university entrance vestibular. The test was administered in 19 schools across 12 Brazilian cities, including São Paulo, Bauru, Campinas, Piracicaba, Presidente Prudente, Ribeirão Preto, Santo André, São Carlos, São José do Rio Preto, São José dos Campos, Sorocaba and Fortaleza.
Out of 14,540 registered candidates, 12,816 attended, yielding an overall absentee rate of 11.9%. The simulated paper follows the new first‑phase format: a five‑hour, 80‑question multiple‑choice test with interdisciplinary content. Sample topics covered extreme climate events in São Paulo, the film “O Agente Secreto” by Kleber Mendonça Filho, the evolution of Vale‑Tudo into MMA, an excerpt from Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech, and the cultural impact of Turkish TV series. Eight questions drew from the mandatory reading list. Candidates scoring at least 24 points will advance to the essay stage on 16 August, with a maximum of 10,080 eligible participants. Detailed performance reports will be released from 17 August.
