FVG Bike Trail resumes at Udine Castle, drawing 480 riders

The 2026 edition of the FVG Bike Trail will take place from 3 to 6 September, with all routes starting and finishing at the historic Castello di Udine in Friuli‑Venezia Giulia. A month after registration opened, 480 cyclists have signed up. The event offers a short 100 km course in both gravel and a newly introduced road format, alongside longer Unlimited and Unconventional itineraries that cover up to 400 km of the region’s countryside. Organisers have partnered with Slow Food FVG to highlight local food productions and flavors along the routes. The trail, a non‑competitive gathering, aims to showcase the area’s natural scenery, cultural heritage and post‑earthquake reconstruction landmarks.

Participants from across Italy and abroad will ride through the western foothills, the Cansiglio forest, the Tagliamento valley and other scenic areas, combining sport, tourism and regional promotion.
