FX expands cast for ‘Far Cry’ video game anthology series

Production has commenced on the FX live-action anthology series based on Ubisoft’s ‘Far Cry’ video game franchise. Developed by Noah Hawley and Rob McElhenney, the series will feature a new setting, storyline, and cast for each season, mirroring the structure of the original games.

The expanding cast includes Brendan Gleeson, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Hamish Linklater, Sam Spruell, and Jamie Demetriou. They join previously announced stars Rob McElhenney, Lizzy Caplan, and Steve Buscemi. While specific character details and plotlines remain confidential, the production is currently underway at Pinewood Studios in the United Kingdom.

The series is slated for FX and Hulu in the United States, with international availability expected via Disney+.
