FX develops crime drama pilot starring Havana Rose Liu

FX is developing an untitled crime drama pilot starring Havana Rose Liu. The project is based on an original story by acclaimed Hong Kong filmmaker Wong Kar Wai and will be directed by Emmy winner Hiro Murai.

The plot follows a small-time criminal who unexpectedly inherits a stake in a mysterious and powerful corporation. This sudden wealth places her in a world of extreme luxury while making her a target for a ruthless elite that views her as a threat.

Written by Charles Yu and Julia Cho, the production is a collaboration between FX Productions and Searchlight Television. Filming is scheduled to begin in Bangkok, Thailand, later this month.
