FX series ‘The Lowdown’ to premiere second season on October 14

The FX noir series ‘The Lowdown’ is set to premiere its second season on Wednesday, October 14. The eight-episode season will be available on FX and Hulu in the United States, and on Disney+ internationally.

Created, written, and directed by Sterlin Harjo, the series stars Ethan Hawke as Lee Raybon, a Tulsa-based citizen journalist. The second season introduces new cast members Tommy Lee Jones, playing Lee’s estranged father, and Betty Gilpin, who portrays a public defender named Ginger.

The new plot follows Lee and Ginger as they investigate a client who has gone missing from a state penitentiary. The season also features returning cast members Keith David, Rafael Casal, Kaniehtiio Horn, and Ryan Kiera Armstrong.
