G-Dragon’s Agency Secures Fines for About 100 Online Harassers

Galaxy Corporation, the management agency of K‑pop star G‑Dragon, announced that it has filed criminal complaints against roughly 100 individuals accused of defamation, privacy violations, insults and other forms of online harassment. South Korean courts have issued summary orders requiring the accused to pay fines ranging from 2 million won (about $1,400) to 7 million won (about $5,000).

The agency said it will continue to pursue legal action against anyone who spreads false rumors, insults, illegally shares personal information, creates sexualized content, or distributes manipulated media of the artist. It also plans to improve its reporting system to allow fans to submit violations more quickly. Meanwhile, G‑Dragon’s group BIGBANG is set to launch its 20‑year anniversary world tour in late August.
