G Herbo backtracks on rap retirement announcement

Chicago rapper G Herbo sparked significant fan reaction after announcing his intention to retire from the rap industry during an Instagram Live session. The 30-year-old artist stated that the genre had become “draining” and “stressful,” citing a desire to distance himself from an environment he described as being “full of weirdos and snitches.”

During his announcement, G Herbo expressed interest in pivoting toward acting, podcasting, entrepreneurship, and investing to focus more on his family and marriage to Taina Williams. However, he quickly backtracked on the decision. Following the initial announcement, he posted a video of himself in a recording studio with a caption stating, “I AINT NEVER QUIT @ NOTHING!”
