G-MODE announces Portopia Serial Murder Case remake

G-MODE has announced the release of ‘Zoku Portopia Renzoku Satsujin Jiken: Boukyaku no Maisou’ (The Sequel to the Portopia Serial Murder Case: Burial of Oblivion) for March 4, 2027. The title is a full remake of the 1983 mystery adventure game, featuring updated graphics by Kyoji Asano and entirely new content.

Produced and supervised by Yuji Horii, the game will include five new investigation files that offer different perspectives on the story. The remake will be available on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. The digital version is priced at 4,800 yen, while physical editions for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 are priced at 7,678 yen.

Physical editions include the original Famicom version of ‘The Portopia Serial Murder Case’ as a bonus, allowing players to compare the classic and remade versions on the same console. A limited edition priced at 9,878 yen will also be available, featuring an A5 booklet and an original soundtrack CD.
