G2 Esports wins LEC Summer Split under new coach Perkz

G2 Esports has secured the LEC Summer Split title after a 3-0 victory against Movistar KOI in Nice. The victory marks a successful transition for Luka ‘Perkz’ Perković, who recently moved from professional player to head coach, replacing Dylan Falco.

Team members, including top laner BrokenBlade, have credited Perkz with significantly boosting the team's confidence and strategic drafting. Performance manager Rodrigo noted that the coach brought a new philosophy to the group following a demanding season. Player Labrov also highlighted an improved ability to remain calm during high-pressure matches.

Data released by General Manager Romain Bigeard reveals that G2 maintained a 62.4% win rate in practice matches (scrims) during this period, winning 106 out of 170 games. The statistics show that Team Vitality was the only opponent against whom G2 held a negative win rate in training. Following this championship, G2 is set to represent Europe at the 2026 Worlds in the United States.
