G2A.COM reports 35% growth in security software orders

Digital marketplace G2A.COM has reported a 35% year-on-year increase in antivirus and security software orders, a growth rate more than twice as fast as VPN orders. Security software now accounts for 43% of all cybersecurity-related purchases on the platform, up from 39% during the same period in 2025.

Overall cybersecurity product orders on the marketplace rose by 24%. While VPNs remain the larger category in terms of volume, the data indicates a shift in consumer behavior toward a more layered approach to cybersecurity. Adrian Podkaminer, Chief Information Security Officer at G2A.COM, noted that users are moving beyond privacy-first protection to seek broader safeguards for their devices, accounts, and digital activities.

The trend coincides with an evolving threat landscape where ransomware and social engineering remain significant risks, according to the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA).
