G6 Hospitality announces Studio 6 Plus expansion into Northeast US

G6 Hospitality, the parent company of Motel 6 and Studio 6, has entered into a five-hotel new-construction development agreement with Kautilya Group for its Studio 6 Plus brand. This agreement marks the brand’s debut in the Northeast United States.

The expansion will begin with the development of two Studio 6 Plus hotels in the Hartford, Connecticut market, with construction expected to start in the first quarter of 2027. The remaining locations under the five-hotel commitment will be announced as plans progress. This deal brings the Studio 6 Plus development pipeline to 25 properties.

Each planned hotel will feature 118 guestrooms, including suites and various room types, designed for extended-stay guests. The properties will utilize a four-story, interior-corridor design and include full-kitchen guestrooms. The brand’s operational model emphasizes digital check-in technology paired with on-site Ambassadors to manage guest services.
