GAA All-Star football nominations announced for 2026

The 2026 GAA Football All-Star nominations have been announced, highlighting key performers from the recent season. Donegal midfielder Michael Langan is among six players nominated for the two available midfield positions.

Mayo leads the nominations with 11 players shortlisted, followed by Kerry with seven. Dublin also features prominently with five nominees. Other counties with multiple nominations include Westmeath (four), Armagh (three), Monaghan (three), Louth (three), Tyrone (two), Cork (two), Galway (two), and Roscommon (two).

The race for the Footballer of the Year award includes Mayo’s Ryan O’Donoghue and Jack Carney, alongside Kerry’s David Clifford, who is seeking a fourth title. The nominations were selected by a group of Gaelic Games Correspondents chaired by GAA President Jarlath Burns.

The PwC All-Stars will be presented at a gala event at Dublin’s RDS on Friday, October 30th.
