GAA revises integration plans with Camogie Association and LGFA
The Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) has significantly altered its stance regarding integration with the Camogie Association (CA) and the Ladies Gaelic Football Association (LGFA). After four years of discussions, the GAA has moved away from previous integration plans.
In a letter delivered to Mary McAleese, chair of the Steering Group on Integration, GAA Director General Tom Ryan outlined a revised position. Rather than concluding the integration process as previously expected, the GAA now proposes a detailed and phased plan to be implemented over the next five years. This shift has led to questions regarding the distribution of power and financial resources within Gaelic games.
