Gabe Newell practiced Mongolian throat singing at Valve HQ, says co-creator

Counter-Strike co-creator Minh Le shared an anecdote regarding Valve boss Gabe Newell and his interest in Mongolian throat singing. In an interview with game consultant Indie Game Joe, Le stated that Newell became fascinated with the vocal technique after watching a documentary.

Le claimed that Newell would practice the singing while walking through the Valve corporate offices. According to Le, the noise was loud enough that employees became annoyed and began closing their office doors to escape the sound.
