Gabi Bădălău accuses Claudia Pătrășcanu of staging church video

Businessman Gabi Bădălău has accused his former wife, artist Claudia Pătrășcanu, of staging a public display of grief for media attention. The dispute follows the release of footage showing Pătrășcanu kneeling and crying in front of a closed church.

Bădălău claims the incident was orchestrated with a friend who filmed the scene to leak it to the press. He expressed deep disappointment, describing the situation as a “circ” (circus) and suggesting that Pătrășcanu is motivated by financial gain and fear regarding court-mandated child custody arrangements.

The conflict centers on their children, specifically their son Nicolas. While court rulings established the children's residence with the mother in Constanța, the boy has been staying with his father in Bucharest for nearly four months. Bădălău stated he wishes for the children to grow up with both parents and has proposed seeking professional psychological help to resolve their issues, rather than engaging in media disputes.
