Gabigol hints at potential Flamengo return via social media

Santos striker Gabigol has sparked speculation regarding a return to Flamengo after interacting with a social media request. Following a video by influencer Matheus Emanuel from Charla Podcast, which urged Flamengo to pursue the forward, Gabigol responded on Instagram with black and red hearts.

The 30-year-old is currently enjoying a strong season at Santos, recording 25 goals and 10 assists in 46 matches, including 15 goals in the Campeonato Brasileiro. This resurgence follows two difficult seasons in 2024 and 2025, where he spent much of his time as a substitute at Flamengo and Cruzeiro, respectively.

While Gabigol previously expressed a desire to return to Flamengo, the comments caused tension with Santos supporters. The striker has since issued an apology, emphasizing his respect and love for Santos, describing the club as his home.
