Gabon Democratic Party announces 13th congress for November 2026

The Parti Démocratique Gabonais (PDG) has scheduled its 13th congress to take place on November 27, 28, and 29, 2026. The announcement follows a meeting in Libreville involving the Advisory Council of Sages, the Political Bureau, and the Permanent Committee.

During the meeting, chaired by Blaise Louembé, members reviewed conclusions from a recent seminar-workshop. Secretary General Angélique Ngoma presented various points which were adopted unanimously. The party aims to use the upcoming congress to reorganize its political apparatus, revitalize its structures, and improve internal operations through five thematic commissions.

The party is currently navigating a transformed political landscape following the crisis of March 7, 2024. Leadership is focused on addressing member demobilization and organizational shifts to clarify the party's future direction.
