Gabon Ministry of Communication holds performance review meeting

The Gabonese Ministry of Communication and Media held a working meeting in Libreville to evaluate the progress of its roadmap for the period of June to December 2026. The session aimed to strengthen the capacity of administrative officials regarding the use of monitoring and evaluation tools.

Alphonse Nziengui, the ministry's Secretary General, noted several deficiencies in current execution, including delays in monthly report submissions and the production of incomplete or irrelevant data. Hermann Maïssa, director of government action monitoring and evaluation, presented a methodology for assessing public administration performance based on guidelines from the April 2026 Council of Ministers. The process emphasizes the need for precise performance indicators and consistency between objectives and deadlines.
