Gabon President honors late General Guy Pamphile Mouissi

Gabon President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema led a solemn ceremony at Camp Capitaine Charles Ntchoréré to pay final respects to Brigadier General Guy Pamphile Mouissi. The General, who served as the Commandant of the Libreville Staff College (EEML), passed away in France at the age of 60 while still in active service.

During the tribute, President Oligui Nguema, acting as the Grand Master of National Orders, posthumously elevated General Mouissi to the rank of Commander in the National Order of Liberation. The distinction recognizes the officer's military career, characterized by rigor, loyalty, and a strong sense of duty to the nation.

The ceremony was attended by the Vice-President, members of the government, and high-ranking military officials. Before his recent appointment at the EEML in November 2023, General Mouissi held several significant positions, including roles within the Gabonese Prime Minister's office and leadership at the National Training School of Mandilou.
