Gabon’s La Poste S.A. conducts strategic assessment in Haut‑Ogooué

Director General Alfred Ikaka Bobe of Gabon’s postal operator La Poste S.A. launched a 48‑hour inventory and assessment mission in the Haut‑Ogooué province on 14 July 2026. The team visited postal offices in Franceville, Bakoumba, Moanda, Mounana and other locations to evaluate assets, infrastructure and working conditions of postal agents.

The mission aims to identify operational challenges, outline short‑, medium‑ and long‑term development plans, and prioritize new office openings in places such as Aboumi, Onga and Boumango. La Poste S.A. also intends to modernise its financial‑inclusion products and fully digitise services, including parcel handling, as part of a broader restructuring of the national postal system.
