Gabon’s PDG and RPG Hold Party Mobilisation Events

The ruling Parti Démocratique Gabonais (PDG) staged a militant day in Ndjolé on 5 July 2026, pairing it with Mother’s Day and the International African Children’s Day. Party officials, including deputy secretary‑general Roger Ekomi Ndong, praised recent mobilisation, urged unity behind President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema and highlighted the event as the first in a series of provincial gatherings.

Meanwhile, the opposition Rassemblement pour le Gabon (RPG) convened its women’s wing to launch the agenda of newly elected president Raphaël Edzang. Edzang outlined a three‑stage programme to revamp party structures, update its societal project and pursue free education, health care, employment and land access for all Gabonese. The meeting stressed the need for extensive grassroots mobilisation and public information campaigns to realise these goals.
