Gabon’s RPM expands local structures in Ntoum and launches regular parliamentary reporting

On 19 July 2026 the Rassemblement pour la Patrie et la Modernité (RPM) installed its basic party structures in the commune of Ntoum, Estuaire Province. The ceremony, held at the party’s provincial headquarters, was attended by national RPM leaders, allied party representatives and numerous militants. Executive Secretary Wilfried Bongoatsi Eckata said the installation marks the start of a rollout to all provinces, emphasizing discipline, loyalty and close contact with citizens.

A week earlier, on 16 July, the RPM inaugurated a new practice of presenting a summary of parliamentary work to its grassroots members. The session, organized by the executive secretariat, reviewed the first inter‑session of 2026 in which 34 legislative texts were considered, 23 of which were adopted, including a national citizenship code, a new land‑ownership regime and anti‑tobacco legislation. The party framed the initiative as a step toward transparency and dialogue between elected officials and militants.
