Gabriel Attal cancels appearance at Boos harvest festival

Gabriel Attal, a candidate for the 2027 French presidential election, canceled a planned appearance at the harvest festival in Boos, near Rouen, on September 6.

Bruno Grisel, the mayor of Boos, stated that he was reluctant to host the former Prime Minister, arguing that the event is a popular village festival and should not be politicized. Grisel, supported by his municipal team, maintained his position despite attempts by local deputy Annie Vidal to facilitate the visit. While some attendees expressed that the cancellation was appropriate, others noted it was a missed opportunity to discuss economic concerns such as the cost of living and fuel prices.
