Gabriel Diez Montilla launches Fuerza Ciudadana party in Panama

Gabriel Diez Montilla, the former president of the National Council of Private Enterprise (Conep), has announced the formation of a new political party in Panama called Fuerza Ciudadana. Diez intends to use the organization to run for the presidency.

The party’s platform focuses on combating corruption, implementing permanent citizen consultation, and ensuring the renewal of leadership to prevent indefinite terms in office. Diez emphasized that the organization seeks to separate party leadership from government functions and maintain transparency regarding the use of electoral subsidies.

Additional pillars of the party include the promotion of technology, innovation, and the active participation of youth and families. Diez stated that the group aims to provide a political alternative to traditional structures by focusing on service-oriented policies and leading by example.
