Gabriel Garland speaks out after removal from Love Island over past stabbing link

Gabriel Garland, a 24‑year‑old model, was introduced as a Casa Amor bombshell on ITV2’s Love Island. After just 24 hours he was removed by producers when it emerged he had been present at a party involved in a 2019 stabbing. Although a court found no wrongdoing and he has no criminal record, ITV decided to boot him from the villa and edited his scenes out of subsequent episodes; his removal was not shown on air.

Garland posted a video on Instagram stating, “The legal judge found no wrongdoing against me and I don’t have a criminal record,” and thanked supporters for their messages. He said he wants to move forward positively. The incident came as the show faced over 180 viewer complaints about other behaviours in the series.
