Gabriel Koenigkan wins Stock Light championship in Brasília

Gabriel Koenigkan has secured the 2026 Stock Light championship following an endurance race at the Autódromo Internacional Nelson Piquet in Brasília. Driving alongside Gaetano Di Mauro, the Brasília native finished in third place, a result sufficient to clinch the title ahead of the final round in Interlagos.

At 17 years old, Koenigkan becomes the youngest driver in history to reach the Stock Car Pro Series. His championship win also earns him a spot in the ‘Academia Stock Car’, a new developmental program for drivers, mechanics, and engineers.

The race was characterized by strategic pit stops and two safety car interventions. While Trombini and Mugiatti took the victory, Koenigkan and Di Mauro maintained a competitive pace throughout the two-hour event to secure the title.
