Gabriel Martinelli linked to Napoli amid conflicting transfer reports
Speculation continues regarding the potential transfer of Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli to Napoli. Some reports suggest that Napoli has opened negotiations through an intermediary to explore a deal for the 25-year-old Brazilian international. Arsenal has reportedly indicated they would only sanction a sale if a suitable replacement is found before the transfer deadline.
However, journalist Fabrizio Romano has disputed these claims, stating that there are currently no concrete contacts between the clubs. According to Romano, both Arsenal and Napoli have maintained that no negotiations are underway. Additionally, while AS Roma has expressed interest in the player, the high transfer costs are reportedly a significant barrier to any move to Italy.
