Gabriel Martinelli transfer to Al-Hilal triggers payouts for Ituano and Corinthians

Brazilian football clubs Ituano and Corinthians are set to receive significant payouts following Gabriel Martinelli’s transfer from Arsenal to Al-Hilal. The deal, valued at approximately R$ 416 million (70 million euros), triggers FIFA’s solidarity mechanism and federative rights clauses.

Ituano is expected to receive roughly R$ 49 million, representing 12% of the total transaction. This amount is composed of 10% from federative rights and 2% from the FIFA solidarity mechanism, as the club trained the player between the ages of 14 and 18. Club manager Juninho Paulista noted that these funds are vital for balancing the club’s deficit and maintaining infrastructure.

Corinthians is projected to receive approximately R$ 2 million through the FIFA solidarity mechanism. The player spent part of his formative years at the club, having joined their futsal program at age six before moving to field football.
