Gabriel Medina adopts red-lens glasses to improve sleep quality

Surfer Gabriel Medina has adopted the habit of wearing red-lens glasses at night to block blue light from electronic screens. His wife, Isabella Arantes, shared that this practice aims to minimize the impact of devices on the body and optimize sleep quality by stimulating natural melatonin production.

Neurologist Lúcio Huebra notes that while red lenses can reduce the impact of light on the biological clock, they are not a substitute for healthy sleep hygiene. Experts advise that the most effective way to ensure rest is to avoid all screens for at least one hour before bed, as the dopamine released from consuming short videos can also stimulate the brain and hinder sleep.
