Gabriel 'N' declared guilty of aggravated sexual abuse in Tamaulipas

A judge in Ciudad Mante, Tamaulipas, has declared Gabriel 'N' guilty of aggravated sexual abuse against his daughter, Dafne Zapata Quintos. The ruling, issued by Judge Eliseo Sánchez Wong, follows a legal process that began in 2019 when the victim was six years old.

Alejandra Quintos, the victim's mother, expressed satisfaction with the verdict, stating that the evidence and expert reports proved the defendant's responsibility. The defense has announced its intention to appeal the decision, questioning the scientific validity of the prosecution's findings.

A hearing to determine the final sentence and reparations is scheduled for October 15 at 11:00 AM. The potential prison term for Gabriel 'N' could range between 20 and 30 years.

This criminal case is separate from the ongoing investigation into the death of Dafne Zapata Quintos. The 13-year-old died on July 16, 2026, while attending a summer camp at the Marina Doenitz Military Academy in Ciudad Madero. That case is being investigated as a feminicide, and three individuals are currently in pretrial detention regarding her death.
