Gabriel Pereira arrives in Rio to sign with Vasco da Gama

Defender Gabriel Pereira has arrived in Rio de Janeiro to undergo medical examinations and sign a contract with Vasco da Gama. The 26-year-old center-back joins the Brazilian club on a loan deal from Denmark's FC Copenhagen, which includes an option to purchase.

Pereira, who previously played for Volta Redonda, Vilafranquense, and Gil Vicente, arrives after a successful stint in Denmark. During his time with Copenhagen, he made numerous appearances and contributed to the club winning both the Danish Cup and the Danish Championship in 2025. He is expected to bolster Vasco's defensive line alongside players such as Carlos Cuesta and Robert Renan.
