Gabriel Rojas moves from Racing to Cruzeiro in $4‑6 million deal
Argentinian left‑back Gabriel Rojas has completed a transfer from Racing Club to Brazil's Cruzeiro. The move, finalized in early June 2026, is reported to involve a fee of around $4 million, with some sources citing up to $6 million (approximately R$ 30 million). Rojas, a key player in Racing's recent Copa Sudamericana and Recopa Sudamericana victories, will undergo a medical exam in Belo Horizonte before signing his contract.
Cruzeiro views the signing as a strategic reinforcement for its defence as it prepares for the Brasileirão and international competitions. Racing's management, led by former player Diego Milito, considers the amount satisfactory and is already searching for a replacement left‑back for the second half of the season.
The transfer also reignites interest from Flamengo in Cruzeiro's other left‑back, Kaiki Bruno, who remains under contract until December 2027. Flamengo's football director José Boto has reportedly presented a project to the player, and the move could influence future negotiations involving both clubs.
