Gabriel Spalone Alves detained for alleged extortion and threats

A court in São Paulo has ordered the preventive detention of digital influencer and businessman Gabriel Spalone Alves. Spalone was initially held under a five-day temporary arrest warrant following accusations of extortion and threats against two business partners, Márcio Eduardo Nozari and Marcel Rosica Anconi of Cargobr Transportes Ltda.

Authorities allege that Spalone claimed affiliation with the criminal organization Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC) and threatened to kidnap the victims' relatives if a multimillion-dollar debt was not paid. The victims contend that the debt had already been settled through the compensation of losses from cryptocurrency investments managed by Spalone, which they claim were non-existent.

Investigations reportedly uncovered text messages and audio recordings supporting the allegations of coercion. Spalone's defense has denied all charges of extortion, threat, or criminal association, labeling the detention illegal and claiming the client is a victim of police and prosecutorial persecution.
