In a response posted to social media, Gabriela Duarte described the journalistic approach as “deselegante” (inelegant). She argued that while journalists have a role in asking difficult questions, the pursuit of headlines and provocative reactions had overshadowed the cultural subject matter. She criticized the media for prioritizing “sensacionalismo” (sensationalism) and political conflict over the discussion of art and the actresses' professional trajectories.
