Actresses Gabriela Duarte and Regina Duarte have addressed a recent controversy involving a tense interview during the promotion of their play, “A Filha da...”. The incident occurred during a discussion with Folha de S. Paulo, where the journalist questioned Regina Duarte regarding her previous role as the Special Secretary of Culture under the Bolsonaro administration.

Gabriela Duarte explained that she intervened to defend her mother when the questioning regarding political positions became persistent. She stated, “I am in a phase of life where I am taking care of my parents... regardless of any person, any situation, I will always defend those I love.”

The actresses are currently performing in the production at the Teatro BDO Jaraguá.
