Gabriela Fujikawa places 18th at Dance World Cup in Ireland

Gabriela Fujikawa, a 16-year-old dancer from Garça, Brazil, secured 18th place at the Dance World Cup held in Dublin, Ireland. As the sole Brazilian representative among 11,500 dancers from over 60 countries, she performed a lyrical jazz solo titled ‘Pedaços de Mim’ set to the song ‘Desconstrução’ by Tiago Iorc.

Fujikawa aimed to use the international platform to showcase Brazilian music and address structural national themes. Having started ballet at age five, Fujikawa previously won
