Gabriela Guerra signs two-year contract with Cofidis

Brazilian cyclist Gabriela Guerra will make her professional road cycling debut at age 32 after signing a two-year contract with the French team Cofidis. A former elite e-cyclist, Guerra is a two-time silver medallist at the UCI Cycling Esports World Championships and was the runner-up in the 2024 Zwift Games.

Guerra’s transition to road racing follows a highly unconventional career path that included skateboarding, mountain biking, and virtual racing. After beginning her road competition in September 2026 with the German Wheel Divas Cycling Team, she secured notable victories at the Riderman in Germany and the Mirabelle Classic in France.

Cofidis has signed Guerra to test whether the high-intensity physical capabilities she developed in virtual racing can successfully translate to the endurance and tactical requirements of the professional road peloton.
