Romanian tennis player Gabriela Ruse has qualified for the quarterfinals of the WTA 250 tournament in Seoul after a comeback victory against South Korea’s Yeonwoo Ku. Ruse, the fourth seed, lost the first set 2-6 and trailed 2-4 in the second set before winning the match 2-6, 7-6 (7/1), 6-1.

The match lasted two hours and 16 minutes. For her performance, Ruse earned 54 WTA ranking points and $7,025. Her next opponent in the quarterfinals will be the sixth seed, Anna Bondar, who defeated Alina Cearaeva in three sets.

The tournament is being held on outdoor hard courts at the Olympic Park Tennis Center, with total prize money amounting to $283,347.
