Gabriele Cannella dies after fatal fall at Porto d’Ascoli workplace

A funeral was held in Poggio di Bretta for 63-year-old Gabriele Cannella, who died following a fatal workplace accident in Porto d’Ascoli. Cannella, the owner of Bio Energy, fell approximately nine meters from the roof of a commercial warehouse while inspecting hail damage.

Emergency services, including firefighters and an air ambulance, responded to the scene after Cannella managed to raise the alarm. Although he remained conscious during initial medical treatment at the Torrette di Ancona Trauma Center, his condition deteriorated due to the severity of his injuries, leading to his death. Authorities are still investigating the exact cause of the fall, which may have been triggered by the collapse of a roof section or skylight.
