Gabriele Salvatores holds casting calls in Friuli Venezia Giulia

Director Gabriele Salvatores is returning to the Friuli Venezia Giulia region for his seventh film production in the area. The upcoming cinematic project, produced by Lotus Production, is scheduled to film in Trieste from mid-October to late November 2026.

The production is currently conducting extensive casting calls for various roles. For adult roles, the search includes men and women aged 25 to 75, including amateur actors. Specific requirements include a maximum height of 185 cm for men, natural hair for women, and an absence of visible tattoos on the neck, chest, or hands. Additionally, adult men with experience in chess are being sought to help reconstruct the film's historical setting, which spans approximately fifty years between 1920 and 1970.

In addition to adult roles, the production is seeking child actors of various ages, specifically looking for children with brown hair. Casting sessions for adults will be held in person in Trieste and Gorizia during early September.
