Gabrielius Kuliešius discusses art and sailing

Gabrielius Kuliešius, an artist, art teacher, and restorer at the Klaipėda Queen Louise Youth Centre, discusses his diverse creative interests ranging from analog photography to sailing.

Kuliešius specializes in using large-format cameras and analog techniques, including an inverse technique for direct portrait development on photo paper. He also manages the “Juostajuosta” project, participating in various festivals and private events.

Beyond visual arts, Kuliešius has developed a passion for sailing. He recently participated in the SAIL Amsterdam 2025 event in the Netherlands alongside a team from the Lithuanian Maritime Museum. During the maritime festival, the museum's schooner “SüD. 1” represented traditional Lithuanian coastal maritime heritage among a thousand participating vessels.
