Gabrielle Giattino discusses her career in the contemporary art world

Gabrielle Giattino, founder of the New York City contemporary art gallery Bureau, discusses her career trajectory and commitment to curatorial integrity. After earning a Master’s in Art History in London, Giattino returned to New York and worked at the Swiss Institute as an assistant to the artistic director.

Following her tenure at the Swiss Institute, Giattino and Howie Chen established Dispatch, a small project space located at 127 Henry Street. The space served as a “curatorial Dispatch office” designed to allow artists to experiment and facilitate communication within the art community.
