GAC Aion unveils Ray 7 electric sedan with Huawei technology
GAC Aion has officially unveiled the Ray 7, the debut model of its new Ray series and the first to feature the brand’s refreshed logo. Designed to target younger consumers, the mid-to-large pure electric sedan emphasizes advanced technology and high-performance hardware.
The Ray 7 integrates several key technologies from Huawei, including the DriveONE multi-in-one electric drive system and the EMB electromechanical braking system. It also utilizes Huawei’s iTRACK intelligent torque control to improve stability on slippery surfaces. The vehicle features a 180 kW (241 hp) motor and a CATL-supplied battery utilizing Magazine Battery 2.0 technology, providing a CLTC range of 700 kilometers.
In terms of intelligence and safety, the sedan is equipped with 27 sensors, including a 192-line LiDAR and three 4D millimeter-wave radars. These components utilize algorithms derived from WeRide’s Level 4 Robotaxi technology to support complex urban navigation and advanced parking functions. The car's design features a fastback profile with a drag coefficient of 0.22 Cd.
