GAC expands plug-in hybrid MPV lineup with new models

GAC Motor is expanding its multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) offerings with new plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) models. In China, the company introduced the Trumpchi E9 Champion Edition, a more affordable version of its E9 Grandmaster Edition. Starting at 349,800 yuan, the E9 Champion Edition features a seven-seat configuration, a large chrome grille, and LED lighting. The interior includes heated and ventilated front seats, with the second row offering massage functions.

In the Philippines, GAC has introduced the GN8 PHEV Executive. This seven-seater MPV utilizes a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine paired with an electric motor and a 2-speed dedicated hybrid transmission. It offers an electric driving range of up to 120km and a combined range exceeding 1,000km. The GN8 PHEV Executive features premium second-row captain’s chairs equipped with power leg rests, heating, ventilation, and massage functions.
