GAC Philippines launches GS4 MAX HEV hybrid SUV

GAC Philippines has officially launched the GS4 MAX HEV, a new hybrid SUV designed for the growing family market. The vehicle joins the company’s existing SUV lineup, which includes the EMKOO, GS3 EMZOOM, and GS8.

The GS4 MAX HEV features a 2.0L Atkinson-cycle hybrid engine paired with a 2-speed dedicated hybrid transmission and a 2.1 kWh battery. The system produces a combined output of 232 HP and 300 N·m of torque, utilizing four modes: Electric, Hybrid, Direct Engine, and Recuperation. This configuration allows for a driving range of up to 1,250 kilometers on a single tank.

Designed with family utility in mind, the SUV offers a 2,750 mm wheelbase and a wide body to maximize interior space. The cabin includes a panoramic glass roof, zero-pressure cushions, and foldable second-row seats to increase cargo capacity. Calvin Cheng, General Manager of GAC Philippines, stated that the model aims to provide a high-value option that balances comfort, reliability, and efficiency for modern households.
